City of Codes and Light Festival

October 2024 / Milton Keynes, UK / For Milton Keynes Islamic Arts and Culture

Milton Keynes Islamic Arts and Culture (MKIAC) charity’s iconic City of Codes and Light Festival explored how artificial intelligence intersects with art, science, and technology through a series of immersive learning activities, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking symposiums. The festival was headlined by the drone show; featuring hundreds of drones, it celebrated the beauty of nature’s engineering, sacred geometry and was accompanied by an original poem and the electric sounds of Jimi Needles & the Club Classics Orchestra at Campbell Park.

It has been an extraordinary journey working together with Celestial to re-define how A.I. and traditional arts can come together. Exploring Islamic mathematics principles and creating exciting ‘Theatre in the Sky’, we displayed a  mesmerising public show, engaging all ages. This wasn’t just about light and form—it was a symphony of mathematics, technology and the result of years following and then collaborating with Celestial.

We were honoured to bring our drone art to the City of Codes & Light Festival – a hugely well-respected event that celebrates innovation, art, wisdom and technology, which align perfectly with our values.
