London Drone Shows
London is one of the most iconic backdrops in the world — and also one of the most tightly controlled environments for drone operations. With only a limited number of London locations where permits are realistic, we’ll always guide you towards the most achievable (and most cinematic) route to getting a show into the sky over London.
Looking to fly a London drone show?
Below is a snapshot of London drone shows we’ve delivered — from landmark public celebrations to private events and stadium-scale moments.
Venue Spotlight: Magazine London, the O2
A proven London launch site for brand and cultural moments — with an exceptional skyline backdrop across the Thames. We often recommend Magazine London due to its suitability for permitted drone operations and our long-standing working relationship there (we’ve flown many successful shows from this site). Venue bookings are made directly with the venue, and then we work with you to develop the drone show — either as part of a live event you already have planned, or for filming purposes only (Magazine has hire options to suit both).
Samsung — Galaxy S24 launch
Stunned Londoners got a ‘close encounter’ of the drone kind as a ‘spaceship’ appeared over the River Thames. One of the UK’s biggest ever private drone displays was held to mark Samsung’s largest launch yet – the Galaxy S24 devices.
Porsche — #DreamElectric
Porsche celebrated the UK premiere of new all-electric Porsche sports cars – the Macan electric and Taycan – with a drone show in the sky above the London Docklands.
Nike x Corteiz — viral product reveal
Following up from their previous hit Air Max 95 collaboration, Nike and Corteiz promoted the launch of a new product selection rumoured to be another sell out.
Disney - Moana 2 Premiere
To celebrate the UK premiere of Disney’s Moana 2, the London skies were transformed into a stunning spectacle using over 600 drones to bring key animation from the popular film to life.
Venue Spotlight: Old Royal Naval College (Greenwich)
An extraordinary setting with strong links to heritage and royalty — ideal for premium private events and gala moments, with a cinematic riverside backdrop.
We’ve flown private events here, including a drone display as part of an evening at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
Venue Spotlight: Alexandra Palace
Bonfire night is a classic London cultural moment with an unbeatable skyline view. We most recently flew at the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival, adding drone storytelling to the traditional bonfire-night programme.
Planning a London Drone Show with Celestial
Planning a drone light show in London involves far more than just the live performance itself. From airspace permissions through to creative storytelling and on-site delivery, our fully managed process ensures your drone show is safe, compliant and unforgettable from concept to execution.
How it works:
1. Venue Feasibility & Airspace Assessment
We begin by assessing your preferred venue or recommending a suitable London-based location for your drone show. Our team then carries out a full feasibility review to ensure the site is appropriate for aerial display, taking into account airspace restrictions, local permissions and audience safety distances.
2. Creative Concept & Story Development
Once a venue is confirmed, we develop a bespoke storyboard aligned with your brand or event theme. This includes visual concepts, drone formations, logo integration and synchronisation with music to create a cohesive aerial performance.
3. CAA-Compliant Planning & Permissions
Our operations team manages the full Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval process, including flight planning, risk assessments and required permissions – ensuring your London drone show meets all UK aviation safety standards.
4. Show Delivery & Filming
On the day of your event, our flight crew manages full deployment and live execution of the drone display. We can also capture aerial footage of the show for use across social media, PR and future marketing campaigns.
Wembley — Oasis Tour
We designed a promotional drone show for the Oasis Live ’25 Tour, including the London date, the night before the band played at Wembley — building anticipation and gathering live crowds and huge social reach.
