A Titanic-sized Drone Display
On Monday 30th March 2026, under the cloak of darkness, 950 drones recreated the launching of RMS Titanic from Belfast harbour as it did 114 years ago. The 1:1 scale drone display was commissioned by the BBC to mark the arrival of the Made Of Here campaign in Northern Ireland and was broadcast to audiences on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC Two Northern Ireland on Thursday 2 April at 8pm – the same time and date the Titanic set sail from Belfast in 1912. Elements of the production also featured across social media platforms and YouTube.
Celestial took an almost impossible brief and made it come alive through their experience, professionalism and talent. Their display captured the attention of millions of people around the world.
